Weep O Mine Eyes is a piece I learned in 2001 when taking part in a choral micro-fest in Melbourne called Pubfest. There is a strong university choral movement (AICSA) in Australia, with choristers from all over the country getting together every year to sing and socialise. This was the first time I had attended one of these intervarsity events. This song from one of the great periods of English vocal music writing epitomises one of my favourite styles of music.
