Hiding 03:45
I don't want to see you Seeing you would ruin my harmony Seeing you would make me fall apart Into tiny fragments of matter that are hard to put together Seeing you would make it so hard (2x) I'm hiding from you (4x) I don't want to be near you Being near you would take away my balance. Being near you would turn my mind into Never ending cycles of confusion with no hope of diffusion Being near you would make it so hard (2x) I'm hiding from you (4x) Hiding (13x) Oh won't you go away Go away don't complicate my day Go away don't make me fall apart Into tiny fragments of matter that are hard to put together Go away, don't make it so hard (2x) I'm hiding from you (4x) Hiding (13x)

Do you see what I can see There's so much we could do Is vision beyond you? You are so set in your ways You're from the olden days You refuse to help us today We are running out of time But you just say that I'm An alarmist with no cause Why perpetuate the lie? How many more should die Before the scales fall from your eyes And you can finally see? See the evidence is clear Again el nino's here Spreading drought and flood and fire And there's contaminated land Expanding desert sands And the seas are getting higher You could help the world get by If you just gave it a try But you want to keep the status quo When the truth is that we can't Can't you see that what you do Affects much more than you There are no borders here When the currents swirl around The waters, air and ground And we share the atmosphere Why do you want to live the lie? How many more should die Before the scales fall from your eyes And you can finally see.

Pastime with good company I love, and shall until I die. Gruch who lust but none deny, So God be pleas'd thus live will I. For my pastance, hunt, sing, and dance, my heart is set All goodly sport, for my comfort, who shall me let? Youth must have some dalliance, of good or ill some pastance. Company methinks then best, all thoughts and fancies to digest. For idleness, is chief mistress of vices all Then who can say but mirth and play is best of all. Company with honesty, Is virtue, vices to flee. Company is good and ill, but every man hath his free will. The best ensue, the worst eschew, my mind shall be Virtue to use, vice to refuse, thus shall I use me.

He gashed my hand in silence Immediately an impassive dome of redness rose And kept growing (2x) On turning my hand I discovered bleeding Other lacerations which had started to bleed Why had he done this? Why? Today he spoke to me gently he rubbed my back affectionately But when he lay down I thought "don't you slash me again" At which he got up immediately and moved slightly away.

Cry Limit 03:48
I'm so tired, I've pushed and pushed myself I've pushed and I have pushed Pushed as far as I can go before I hit the cry limit Don't push me over the cry limit Back off I'm in pain Background pain is now foreground pain Background to foreground Pain I can't ignore, I'm almost at the cry limit Don't push me over the cry limit Back off Waves of dreamy sleep wash away, wash away Waves of dreamy sleep can wash away, wash away The tiredness, the pain and the emotion I'm on edge, I'm picking up bad emotions From you, from them, from her, from him (3x) I can't take very much more before I hit the cry limit Don't push me over the cry limit Back off

about

It has taken me a long time to get this album together. So much has happened in my life since Primordial Soup: several years of study, a change in jobs, involvement in several bands as well as several choirs, and so on. In terms of recording, I've moved from my trusty old Fostex 4-track cassette recorder, Amiga and Ensoniq TS-10 synthesizer to a PC-based hard-disk recording system using Cubase (several versions). This collection of recordings tells some of the story. There were many other pieces written that haven't appeared here; they'll just have to wait for another day.
This album is my first to include material that I didn't write. There are some early classical works, as well as a piece written by my friend Theresa. Another track samples a round written by James Ong who performed with Theresa and me as Mosaic in 2003. The album also features a lot more unaccompanied vocal music than on my previous album, partly due to my choral involvement. Some tracks feature pitch-shifted vocals so that I can sing bass parts. Thanks to Darren McKinty for additional production on Song for Deaf Ears. The album was mastered by John Ruberto of Crystal Mastering.
I hope you enjoy the album
